Here is a 2003 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab

The first accessory was a Brush Guard

We decided to do all the work ourselves. After doing some research, we found a company that sold the brush guard that was specific to this model Nissan. When ordering make sure its for the right year, make and model. This came complete with all the hardware necessary to complete the job. It comes in 5 pieces ready to put together.

Don't be scared off on doing this yourself for fear that you might screw-up. We first started by removing the four bolts that held the lower part of the bumper in place. We attached the first two angled plates to the frame, making sure not to completely tighten them until toward the end of the job.

We then attached the center part of the brush guard ( center) to those angles with 3 nuts bolts and washers supplied with the unit. Again, we held off on tightening them securely just yet. At this point you should have everything attached with the exception to the slotted guards you see over the headlights.

Now is the time to do that. Again you are supplied with the nuts, bolts and washers with the kit. The nuts are actually self-locking as you tighten them down. Lets work our way backwards now. Tighten the two headlight guards down completely. Once this is accomplished your going to have to decided how you want it too look. We went with having the guard about an inch to an inch and a half away from the hood and bumper.

It comes with a padded (rubber) that will allow it to rest right up to the bumper, but for fear of leaving any marks from the rubber caused up to have it slightly away. Tighten the remaining bolts just enough to be able to still move the brush guard up and down. You can either use a level or just eyeball it as we did to find where it looks the best.

Once that's completed...finish tightening all the bolts snugly and your finished. It took us about an hour of taking our time and having fun with it as well. Retail Price on the guard is around $450.00 to $500.00. We paid a little over $350 and if you would like the information on where to get this unit specific for your truck, drop us an email.

The next project was installing the Running Boards.
