Welcome to the Nut house!
If your out surfing the
web and looking for some entertaining and sometimes humorous
stories, you have come to the right place. We
are just your average run of the mill hunters that live for
the outdoors and can't
wait for the following deer season to begin again. It's more
than just the hunting for us here, its the comradely that
goes with it with family and friends. Want to make this site
even better? Become part of it by sharing your stories, tips
and outdoor adventures.
I am on the hunt for
outdoors people from different parts of the state and also
you folks from other states that enjoy hunting in New York
to give updates on what's taking place in your area. If your
sitting there reading this saying my stuff isn't good enough
or my spelling has a little bit to be desired...join the
rest of us. As long as we can sound it out and make sense of
it, is all that counts. I will also do a quick edit for
spelling and content before posting here...so you can blame
me for any errors.
Like I always say....A
stranger is merely a friend that has yet to be introduced.
So go ahead and introduce yourself by
sending me an email even to just say hi. I was lucky
enough to be raised in a home that felt it better to get
hooked and get high on fishing and hunting than the drugs
and alcohol that filled the street corner. There is no
possible way you could go wrong by showing interest and
taking a youngster fishing and or hunting.
Archery season
here in Northern New York starts on September 27th if you
happen to have a tag left over from years season. This is
only a three day hunt and the new licenses take effect the
1st of October. One thing I preach
to other hunters is not to put the bow away after the season
ends only to pick it up a few days prior to opening day.
I am field testing a 2007
Buckmasters BTR Bow
from Wal-Mart this year and so far so good. To read more
about what we added and the set-up

the sport and need information on how to buy a new or used
bow, read my article first.
Well deer season is coming
fast and we just finished up our fall food plots
for this coming season. The majority of the plots are 1/4
to 1/2 of an acre. If unsure, and acre is 208 feet X
208 feet or 43,264 square feet.
